Estate Agency Partner

What the role involves

The majority of your time will be split between three main activities: carrying out marketing appraisals, prospecting for new business and presenting the stock of houses for sale.

You'll use your local knowledge to develop business and marketing plans, and will drive the marketing of the branch, identifying areas for leaflet dropping and tabloid ads. And through your own personal reputation as a highly successful estate agent, you'll seek to increase the branch's market share.

At the same time, you'll be involved in each property sale up to completion, and will be proactive in carrying out re-marketing appraisals of houses slow to sell.

Another important part of your role will be to run in-branch coaching and training sessions for your colleagues, sharing your knowledge and experience with them, and helping them to develop.

The skills and experience we're looking for

You'll be able to demonstrate experience within an Estate Agency environment, you'll be able to present a confident, professional image and will know how to position price, sale prospectus and fees. It's important that you have a good grasp of figures too. You'll need to be someone who can spot trends and sales opportunities (and should already have a record of delivering high levels of sales). You'll also need to be a real stickler for detail, making sure each house sale is treated on an individual basis, and is both creatively presented and accurately described.

Professional qualifications would be an advantage (for example, NAEA, RICS or College of Estate Management - Certificate in Residential Estate Agency). It is essential that you have knowledge of your local area, marketplace and house buying process. You must also have a driving licence, unless circumstances dictate otherwise.
