An overview of the role
This is a hands-on operational role, where your prime focus will be to deliver excellent sales results within your branch. That will involve being a champion of sales practices and techniques, coaching colleagues to help improve their skills and performance, and cultivating a high-energy culture within the branch. You’ll also be expected to personally contribute a high level of sales.
Other key responsibilities
In driving sales and business development, you’ll have to set appropriate goals for your team, and make sure all resources in the branch are effectively deployed. Managing risk and regulatory compliance will be another big part of your job. You’ll also ensure your branch delivers the highest possible levels of customer service.
The skills and experience you’ll need
- Experience of coaching and people management.
- Experience of managing an operation including resource management and planning expertise.
- Knowledge of your local area and marketplace.
- Experience of retail management and customer service.
- The ability to deliver a high level of sales, both personally and through your branch team.
- A hands-on management style, along with excellent motivational skills.
