An overview of the role

Carrying out the estate agency’s valuation process, you’ll be responsible for the listing target and also presenting the stock for sale in the branch. You’ll be taking ownership of the fee earnings in the branch and maximise all sales opportunities throughout the valuation process.

Other key responsibilities

Another big part of your role will be to generate new business in the branch, as well as marketing the properties for sale through effective advertising and media campaigns. At the same time, you’ll be acting as an expert source of advice, helping your line manager to make key decisions, and passing on your knowledge and experience wherever it is appropriate.

The skills and experience you’ll need

  • A confident and professional image, with the ability to deal with customers in an open and honest way.
  • A good grasp of figures, coupled with an eye for spotting trends and sales opportunities.
  • A track record of delivering high levels of sales.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the area you’ll be working in, as well as the local competition.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
