Team Leader

An overview of the role

You’ll be responsible for helping a team of Sales Advisers achieve and exceed their targets. This will involve acting as a role model for team members, as well as providing them with expert leadership and coaching.

Other key responsibilities

Keeping the team highly motivated will be a big part of your role – and to do that, you’ll need to employ a range of management methods, such as encouragement, feedback, briefings, competitions and so on. You’ll also be expected to deal with all aspects of people management, including shift patterns/rotation, performance management and personal development.

The skills and experience you’ll need

  • Experience in a sales environment.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills, with the ability to influence other people and encourage them to achieve results.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and on your own initiative.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • PC literacy.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and develop others.
